Terms of Service
Effective August 15, 2026
ScriptSync™ is a product of OnSetPilot LLC. These terms govern your use of the ScriptSync app, website, and related services. By creating an account or using ScriptSync, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these terms. If you use ScriptSync for an organization or production, you represent that you have authority to bind it. You must provide accurate account information, safeguard your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to support@onsetpilot.com.
Your content
As between you and OnSetPilot, you retain your rights in scripts, call sheets, images, messages, comments, scene data, and other material you submit. You must have the rights needed to upload, process, and share that content.
You grant OnSetPilot a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display your content only as needed to operate, secure, and support ScriptSync for you and authorized production members. This license ends when content is deleted from the service, except that shared production content may remain after you leave or delete your account with attribution removed or anonymized, and copies may persist temporarily in backups or where reasonably needed for security, disputes, or legal compliance.
OnSetPilot does not claim ownership of your scripts or other original creative works.
AI-assisted features
ScriptSync uses third-party AI services for AI chat, shot lists, character-description suggestions and reference images, storyboard analysis and frames, and call-sheet extraction. Provider categories and data handling are described in the Privacy Policy. OnSetPilot does not train its own AI models on your content, but third-party handling is governed by the provider terms, settings, and agreements applicable to OnSetPilot.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or similar to output generated for others. You are responsible for reviewing it and confirming that you have the rights needed for your use. To the extent permitted by law, OnSetPilot does not claim ownership of output generated for you. AI output is provided as-is and is not professional, legal, safety, or production advice. Character references and storyboard images are pre-visualization tools, not final production assets. Do not use a real person's likeness without appropriate rights or consent.
OnSetPilot materials
ScriptSync, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and non-user content, is owned by OnSetPilot or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use ScriptSync for its intended purpose.
Acceptable use
You may not use ScriptSync to violate law or another person's rights; distribute harmful, fraudulent, infringing, or abusive content; upload malware; interfere with service operation or security; access accounts or productions without authorization; bypass membership, role, usage, storage, or billing limits; reverse engineer the service except where law permits; or use unauthorized bots or scrapers.
We may investigate violations and remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect ScriptSync, users, or third parties.
Team Messages members may report another member's message to OnSetPilot for review and may block one-to-one messages with another member in the same project. Blocking does not remove either person from the project or shared group chats. Knowingly submitting false or abusive reports may violate these terms.
Production workspaces
Production administrators control membership and permissions. Authorized members can access shared content subject to membership, role, and document-visibility controls. Administrators and other authorized members may edit or delete workspace content, remove members, archive a production, or delete it. Use care when sharing confidential information.
Subscriptions and billing
ScriptSync offers a Free plan and paid Indie, Pro, and Studio plans. Paid subscriptions are sold per project, processed through Stripe, our payment processor, and billed monthly. Current features, limits, and prices appear in the service.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled. By subscribing, you authorize OnSetPilot and Stripe to charge the payment method provided at checkout for the displayed price and frequency, plus applicable taxes.
Cancellation, plan changes, and refunds
You can manage or cancel a subscription through the Stripe billing portal linked from ScriptSync. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally leaves paid access active through the current billing period. Plan changes take effect and are charged as shown in the applicable checkout or billing flow.
Payments are non-refundable except where required by law, and we do not provide partial refunds or credits for unused time unless stated otherwise. Contact support@onsetpilot.com about an incorrect charge.
When a paid plan ends, Free-plan limits apply. When a plan is downgraded, the lower plan's limits apply. Productions or content above the applicable limits may become read-only or have storage-creating actions blocked until you reduce usage or restore sufficient plan capacity. ScriptSync does not automatically delete production content solely because a paid plan ends.
OnSetPilot may change prices with notice as required by law before a new price applies to a future billing period.
Service changes and availability
ScriptSync is currently in beta. Features, providers, plan limits, and functionality may change. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service and do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free availability.
Account deletion and termination
You may request account deletion through ScriptSync. Active billing or production-lifecycle workflows may need to complete or be canceled first, and subscriptions owned by your account are canceled before deletion completes.
Account deletion removes your membership and personal account records as described in the Privacy Policy. A production for which you are the sole administrator is deleted. Content you contributed to a production with another administrator may remain for that team with your attribution removed or anonymized.
OnSetPilot may suspend or terminate access for a terms violation, security or legal risk, unpaid charges, or service discontinuation. Where appropriate, we may provide advance notice, but immediate action may be necessary.
When access ends, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive remain effective, including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScriptSync and AI output are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. OnSetPilot does not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation; that content will never be lost; or that AI output will be accurate, complete, original, or fit for use. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate copies of important materials and reviewing AI output.
OnSetPilot disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnSetPilot and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, use, or goodwill arising from ScriptSync. OnSetPilot's aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to ScriptSync will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid OnSetPilot for ScriptSync during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or US$100. Limitations apply only to the extent allowed by applicable law.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OnSetPilot and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your content, your use of ScriptSync, your violation of these terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
Governing law and disputes
Washington law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, both parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days after written notice. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts in King County, Washington, and each party consents to those courts' jurisdiction. To the extent permitted by law, claims must be brought individually rather than as part of a class or representative action.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as ScriptSync changes. Revised terms will be posted with a new effective date, with additional notice when required by law. Changes apply prospectively from their effective date. If you do not agree to revised terms, stop using the service.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and OnSetPilot concerning ScriptSync. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our written consent; OnSetPilot may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Copyright complaints
OnSetPilot may remove or restrict access to content in response to a valid copyright notice and may terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Copyright owners and affected users can find notice and counter-notice instructions on our Copyright and Content Complaints page.
